Jane Pearson

Kia ora! I have been teaching for over 25 years in schools in the UK and Auckland but even as a child in Primary School, I had aspirations to be a teacher. I am passionate about providing an environment where tamariki/children want to learn as they feel nurtured, valued, and happy. I strive to provide them with the tools and skills needed to be lifelong learners so they can reach their full potential. I love providing opportunities for my students to develop their own interests which empowers them to be inquisitive, resilient, compassionate, creative, critical thinkers, and risk-takers who challenge themselves to try new things - all while they are having fun! I am currently the Year 1 Learning Leader and Environmental Education lead teacher.
